Lázaro Galdiano Museum

This Beautiful neo-Renaissance Palace built in 1903 by rich editor and Business man Lazaro Gardiano following his wedding, became a public museum after the gift of the collection to the Sanish state in 1948.

The collection covers 5000 work arts and historical objects from the 6th to the 20th century, grouped by the famous collectionneur, among which a few master pieces from Goya, El Greco, Murillo and many others.

The museum is considered as a lower importance compared to the major Prado, Thyssen or Reina Sofia, but is still an interesting place to visit for art lovers;

Group guided tours are organized on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 17h30 to 18h45, but only upon reservation by phone, and for just a 2 EUR additional price.
