This quiet and very charming pedestrian square is surrounded by old 15th century buildings such as La Torre de los Lujanes where it is believed that François 1er, King of France, was held prisoner in 1525 after his defeat against Charles V in Pavie.

You will also find around Plaza de la Villa la Casa de Cisneros which is linked to the Ayuntamiento (City Hall) designed in 1640 by Juan Gomez de Mora (the architect of Plaza Mayor).
