This Bar à Vin who has been there forever is in Rue Montorgueil, one of the most typical streets of Paris, full of small bars and restaurants who used to serve the workers at the Old Halles de Paris (the biggest food market of the city), who was replaced by a 1980s mall now under renovation.

The Halles neighborhood went down a lot in terms of safety and atmosphere due to the underground mall often "visited" by gangs, but rue Montrogueil succeeded in keeping it's charm and now is being pretty popular again;

Now this bar is super typical of the traditional Bars à Vins, with classical french dishes served (meat, charcuterie,...).
The prices are very reasonable, and the Entrecôte I had with the home made french fries was tasty; I was really surpised with the prices;

The wines are all selected by the Chef and Owner, and all are ecological wines (with no additives) and are delivered to the restaurant directly by the producers.

We had a marvellous Coteaux du Roussillon, Les Copines by Triboulet 2010;

It's a nice address when you're nearby;
