Perhaps one of the most beautiful things in France are the castles situated on the River Loire. However, you will need a lot of time to visit all of them and if you don't have at least one week, I recommend to visit the more important ones.

Such an important castle is the Château Amboise. It is situated in Amboise, one of the communes of the Indre-et-Loire department of central France.

This castle was the royal residence of the Kings Charles VIII and François I, who invited even some artist of the time to stay there in the Amboise Castle. One of them was the well-known Leonardo da Vinci, who was even buried there. If you visit Amboise Castle you can visit the place where he was buried.

The beauty of the Amboise Castle will definitely mesmerize you, the garden has a special beauty it is not as big as the gardens of other castles, but beautiful enough.

At the entrance you will have to buy a ticket, that is 10,50€ for adults. A price reduction is only for children, students and for 60+. When you purchase your ticket, they will ask you which country you're from in order to give you a brochure in your native language. In that brochure you will have all the important information about the interior of the castle. You can also pay for an extra audio guide, which will tell you all the information as you walk through the rooms of the castle.

No matter which variant of guide you choose, you won't regret visiting this castle!
