My brother and I were invited by a special Spanish friend at Las Cuevas De Luis Candelas one August night in 2012. On our way there my friend told me that several VIP guests seldom visit this restaurant such as former Presidents Carter and Clinton and many European singers and US actors.
The guard standing at the door greets the guests with a big smile, holding his century old rifle in one hand and inviting you inside with the other.
Enchanting Spanish caves/restaurant/wine cellars used by the famous Luis Candelas bandit in the 1800s as a hideout with his gang to prepare their next theft. The caves have many exits and takes you back in Spanish times. The menu is very rich in traditional delights from meet to fish to the famous paellas. Following a lunch or diner, you can walk off the Spanish delights in Madrid's Plaza Mayor.
