The National Museum of Art is situated in the center of Bucharest, which has significant collections of modern and medieval art as well as an international collection assembled by the Romanian Royal family. It is located on the Revolution Square in the royal palace.
This museum housed in 2005 a large exhibition of French painting with the works of renown artists like Delacroix, Poussin, Picasso, Chardin etc.

What exhibitions can you see nowadays in the National Museum of Art? First of all, a Romanian collection of paintings of Nicolae Grigorescu, Gheorghe Petraşcu, Gheorghe Tattarescu etc. but a collection of sculptures of Constantin Brâncuşi, Milita Petraşcu or Dimitrie Paciurea as well. Beside the Romanian collection there's an international collection as well, with artists like El Greco, Jan van Eyck, Peter Paul Rubens, Rembrandt etc.

All in all, it may not be the Louvre, but you surely have a lot of works of art to see in the National Museum of Art.
