If you happen to be in the shopping area between Rokin and Spui, I recommend this very nice and Petit Restaurant. A very small, traditional, and very welcoming restaurant is very cozy, designed to have three floors in one room. The ambiance is very calm and relaxing away from the busy shopping streets.
The restaurant offers many choices of traditional dutch food, but also has a set of three-course tourist menus, with the choice of changing the main dishes, which I recommend.
