The more you walk around in Belgium and visit different towns or villages the more you stick to this country. In the end you will not want to let go of it. The truth is that it has so much charm that you feel as if you were in a fairytale.

Among the town that are really charming and beautiful we can find Namur as well. Although there are many things to do in Namur, one day should be enough to visit it thoroughly as the town itself is not that big.

The best way to see all the town is to climb up in the Citadel, which lays high above on a rocky outcrop. Once you reach the top you can enjoy the absolutely spectacular view of the town. Visitors are free to wander around the Citadel and it can be reached by car, bus, foot, but there are also minibuses that will take you there. If you go with a bus or a minibus you will have to stop at the Terranova.

If you get hungry while wandering on the streets of Namur, there are many fine restaurants and places where you can grab a bite. However, I would recommend Brasserie Henry, you will surely find there well-priced Belgian cuisine and you don’t have to be scared if you are a vegetarian, offerings for vegetarians are also included in the menu.

If you want to eat good and tasty mussels La Bruxelloise is the best place to do that. This restaurant is well-known for its quality mussels. some even say that they are the best you can eat in the town. However, if you are not in for a fancy meal that is not at all cheap, you can always grab a sandwich at Le pain quotidien.

All in all, visiting Namur will leave you with quite an experience and wonderful memories!
