Eiffel Tower

Well, if there's a symbol which summarize France and Paris, it's definitly the Eiffel Tower. Besides the symbol, visiting the Eiffel Tower during your stay in Paris. In order to avoid to do an hour or more queue, you should book and buy your tickets at least 24 hours before your visit on the website www.tour-eiffel.fr/. Believe me, it's a hole different experience to visit the monument by waiting 15 minutes or 1 hour to be able to get inside.
Also you should visit the 3 stories, as you have a totally different perspective from each one.

You can take advantage of your visit to eat in one of the Eiffel Towers restaurants, which are managed by Alain Ducasse, a famous French chef:
1- The Jules Verne, one of the top notch restaurants in Paris, managed by Alain Ducasse, one of the most famous french 3 stars Michelin Guide Chef. Count at least 100 EUR/pers if you have lunch in week days, and the double if you go on evenings or WE. This price difference is always the case of top restaurants in Paris. Also, you should book a few weeks in advance to have a chance to have a table.
The Jules Vernes is at the second floor of the tour, and has a dedicated elevator. If you can afford it, it's a magical romantic experience to have in Paris.

2- Le 58, a much cheaper restaurant at the first floor of the tour, starting at 20 EUR, but normally you'll get a meal for 50 EUR for lunch and around 75 for diner. It will also be a very nice experience, with an acceotable quality/price ratio.

About the Eiffel Tower:

The Eiffel Tower, nickname La dame de fer (the iron lady) is a puddle iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris. Built in 1889, it has become both a global icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. The tower is the tallest building in Paris and the most-visited paid monument in the world; millions of people ascend it every year. Named after its designer, engineer Gustave Eiffel, the tower was built as the entrance arch to the 1889 World's Fair.

The tower stands 324 metres (1,063 ft) tall, about the same height as an 81-storey building. During its construction, the Eiffel Tower surpassed the Washington Monument to assume the title of the tallest man-made structure in the world, a title it held for 41 years, until the Chrysler Building in New York City was built in 1930. However, due to the addition, in 1957, of the antenna atop the Eiffel Tower, it is now taller than the Chrysler Building. The tower has three levels for visitors. Tickets can be purchased to ascend, by stairs or lift, to the first and second levels. The walk from ground level to the first level is over 300 steps, as is the walk from the first to the second level. The third and highest level is accessible only by elevator. Both the first and second levels feature restaurants.
The tower has become the most prominent symbol of both Paris and France, often in the establishing shot of films set in the city.
