La Taverne Henry IV, located on the edge of Ile de la Cité just in front of Henry IV statue is one of the oldest wine bars / taverns in Paris, with more than 180 years of history.

It is a very simple place, just a few small tables, a long bar, and the passion of French products. They serve homemade french dishes as well as salads of some french specialties such as delicatessen and cheese.

Simple, friendly, and reasonable in terms of pricing. It seems that they kept the tavern tradition alive in this place.


The restaurant is closed in August.
