Parcul Tineretului

Parcul Tineretului literally means Youths` Park and is the park situated in the southern part of the capital of Romania, Bucharest. It is a place of recreation for people of all ages (even though its name says that it pertains to the youth.)

It has lots of green areas, many playgrounds as well as a lake, where you can boat. The well-known Sala Polivalentă is situated in this park where lots of concerts and sporting events are held.

If you are with children don`t worry, they will have plenty of things to do. On the south-east corner of the park there is a sort of mini-town for children. It is called Orăşelul Copiilor, which is literally translated by Children Mini-town. Fairgrounds, roller coasters and other rides can all be found here, in the Children Mini-town.

My personal favorite is the dancing fountain, which I consider very beautiful. I recommend that you take a walk in this park when in Bucharest, it can be a pleasant experience (especially in spring and autumn)!Less
