Students gym AltaFit

It's an "ok" gym to train if you want to train softly or occasionally. I love the illusion of space this gym gives you, although there is a lot of unutilized space. The equipment is alright, but the dumbells go to 40kg only (as in most of the gym chains in Madrid, sadly), there is no Olympic lifting platform, which is very surprising coming from a gym dedicated to Students Athletes (basketball and handball), so if you want to deadlift or anything similar you need to tell them (since they do not like when you drop the bar) and they will give you puzzle matting to put under your weights (that will not be stable anyway since the plates are octagonal instead of circular). What surprised me most and broke my heart is that a lot of wheelchair athletes train there and there is not even a ramp for them nor an elevator: they have to crawl down and up the long stairs, while carrying their wheelchair(the staff won't offer them help).Less
