VIPS is a new concept born in Madrid in the 1960's: a store/restaurant with unique/trendy products in the store and several dining options. They started expanding all over Spain and they now have 49 stores in Madrid only.

It has two restaurtant: VIPS (decent international cuisine) and Gino (Italian restaurant: a bit more fancy than VIPS), and a Starbucks.

Both are good places to go with friends or family, especially at night, during late hours because they close at 2 am (and 3 am on Fridays). Unfortunately the service is usually quite slow.

The location in Velazquez is one of their most emblematic ones, and is only 300m far from IE.
