Vondelpark

If you want to escape from the ton of busy tourists wandering on the streets of Amsterdam then you should visit Vondelpark. This may not be the biggest park in the world, but it is definitely one worth visiting.

This is the spot for all joggers and bikers... and tourists. The landscape of this big green spot in the center of Amsterdam is absolutely stunning and makes it worthwhile visiting if you are in the capital of the Netherlands. Here you can certainly relax and enjoy a nice day out. The park is huge and if you want to see every corner you should rent a bike, though by walking you can really enjoy this beautiful park.

If you get tired from all the walking and you crave after a nice cup of tea, then you should just go the the Blue Tea House (`t Blauwe Theehuis in Dutch). You will certainly notice it as it looks like a flying saucer, perhaps due to the fact that it is built like three rings on top of each other. This unusual construction is surrounded by a large terrace, which offers around 700 places. So, you will have plenty of space to kick back with a cup of tea in Vondelpark.

If you want to get a view of the whole park I recommend getting a place at the upper terrace of the building as the view from there is simply mesmerizing!Less
