Zurich

Everyone is certainly familiar with Zürich, one of the largest cities of Switzerland and one of the most important financial centers in the world. As someone who has visited it I can only say that it is definitely worth your time! Here are some of the places you can visit here:

Lake Zürich is a must and the perfect place to spend an afternoon. The many parks and gardens known under the name of Lake Promenade are ideal for a walk. During summer you can see many boats on the lake, picnickers and sun bathers in the park.

The Zürich Opera House is one of the highlighted attractions of the city. With approximately 1100 seats , it is the smallest among the large opera houses of the world.

The Grossmünster or Great Church must also be on your list of things to visit in the city, especially for those who love history and architecture. This was the place where the Protestant Reformation started. I was amazed to find out that apparently Charlemagne was the founder of this church.Visiting the church is free, but if you want to climb up in the tour you will have to pay a fee. Considering the panorama you get of the city it is totally worth paying this fee.

The Swiss National Museum is for the more culture-oriented ones. You will find here everything about Swiss art and history starting from the 4th century. There area few rooms to wander through, so count at least 2 hours to spend here. Although I'm not a big museum fan, I admit that I don't regret visiting this museum, I've learned so much of the city's history.
