Abertay University Gym

This is not your typical uni gym: the staff will push you to train harder (they are also extremely friendly and sportive), you can borrow chalk and smelling salts: the equipment it is more than complete for a powerlifter: chains, safety squat bar (SSB), trap deadlift bar, etc.: all the kind of thing you wouldn't normally find in a gym chain.

They also have a sand bag and other gym equipment and you can borrow accessories like boxing gloves for free.

Abertay Gym is also extremely affordable: only 50 pounds per year if you study at Abertay University (and a little bit more if you don't).

The only con I see is that they have no normal lat pull down machine (they have the assited one) and no leg press with plates (instead they have the one with a stack).Less
