In December I am going to Vienna for the forth time! I simply love the city near the Christmas Holiday! Last time I was there, 3 years ago, a heavy rain forced me to take take shelter in a very sweet coffee house. Had there the best cheesecake ever and a lovely cup of coffee.
Cafe Griensteidl is located in the Michaelerplatz right in the center of Vienna. It has a dozen of cakes and sweets to choose from but I personally recommend the cheesecake. The coffee is great and if you want a taste of Vienna's classic than you can order a Wiener Frühstück (Viennese Breakfast) and a great lunch or dinner something to eat.
The prices are more than acceptable, I remember paying less than 8 Euro for coffee, cheesecake and other drinks.Less
